Peace with Food
While the term healthy lifestyle is used habitually, it can have a rather broad meaning as it relates to weight and psychological eating behaviors.
The SHIFT objective is to find serenity with food and your cravings and where a scale no longer dictates what we should or shouldn’t eat. People should consume food normally and not with extreme restriction nor abundance. A normal relationship with food is one that does not have guilt or shame and does not cause one to be or feel ill.
SHIFT is place where we are at peace with food and food is at peace with you.
“It’s all about finding the calm in the storm.”
~Donna Karen
The first step is psychological assessment to determine the correct approach for you.

Stopping the Insanity of the Scale
For many a scale holds them hostage, what they eat and whether they go out, even socially.
At SHIFT our behavior therapy stops the insanity with scale. At SHIFT we believe in the saying “you can only succeed at what you measure”, but on the weight-loss or weight-management journey there is so much more than measuring just by the scale. Other health outcomes, how you sleep, how you feel, your activity level and your opinions of yourself are all valid measures of changes that occur as one takes-on a more healthy relationship with food.
